Total relaxation in wonderful surroundings
We chose Roda as our destination as it is quite compact but offers a lot, the beach is sandy and shelves gently into the sea, there is a good selection of shops and bars, and it is quite flat to walk around. We chose the Elizabeth as we knew it had lovely gardens, with plenty of shade, plus ground floor accommodation, easily accessible to those with mobility issues. The breakfast was a bonus, it was absolutely excellent, as was all the food we had. I particularly loved the cake made by Eleni, served occasionally at breakfast. We ordered sandwiches for the day we left, they were huge soft rolls, very well filled, very fresh and absolutely delicious. Every single member of staff was friendly and made a point of chatting with the guests and ensuring they were enjoying their stay. The maids came every day and occasionally left some lovely towel creations, or nightdress creations, considering how busy they were it was lovely they spent the extra time to do this and made us smile, as did the little notes they left us when we left a small tip for a job well done. The gardens were immaculate, as was the pool, everything is pristine. We will return, health allowing, and will book direct as Costas will collect residents from the airport and take them back, so it is a door to door experience, as the lane is quite narrow, the large travel company buses cannot get down it, so there is a little bit of a walk up a less than smooth lane, not too onerous for younger, fitter folk. Families are well catered for too, there are children's sections in the pool, a playground, a little play house, swings and a slide, plus lots of space for games. Sunbeds aplenty, which we found quite comfortable, there are also hammocks and several cabana beds, which do not incur an extra charge as they do in other hotels. Sunbed towels are also provided. All in All, it is excellent, no complaints whatsoever from us, thank you Costas,.Eleni, Wendy and everyone else who looked after us so well.
